There was a 16 year gap between Jedi and Phantom Menace. I hope that doesn’t mean we have to wait til 2026 for the LOST prequels.

“….ABC LICENSES EXCLUSIVE MULTI-YEAR, MULTI-PLATFORM DEAL BETWEEN BAD ROBOT PRODUCTIONS AND DISNEY/ABC DOMESTIC TELEVISION

BURBANK, CA – April 2, 2012 – ABC has purchased a script treatment from Bad Robot Productions for a new series in 2013, it was announced today by Brian Frons, President, Daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group & Janice Marinelli, President, Disney/ABC Domestic Television and J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk of Bad Robot Productions.
With the working title, “DeGroot”, the series will be a period piece set in the 1970’s and will follow the exploits of Gerald and Karen DeGroot, two young scientists from Minnesota and the eccentric, wealthy Swedish investor Alvar Hanso as they try to start a new utopian society and understand the mysteries of the universe.

ABC is very excited to return to the “LOST” universe and happy to continue our successful relationship with J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot Productions…..”
